British Resistance during WWII

De Graff, Dachi

BRAMS Institute

Abstract

The author researched Britain’s pivotal role in WWII, focusing on the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. Drawing on timelines, phase breakdowns, and wartime rhetoric, the study highlights Britain’s strategic resistance against the Luftwaffe, the RAF pilots’ defence (“The Few”), and the significance of Britain’s survival in halting Hitler’s invasion plans. The research situates these events within the wider global conflict – causes, contested outbreak dates, and staggering human costs – arguing that Britain’s stand marked the first major defeat of Nazi aggression and helped pave the way to eventual Allied victory.
